Diercks triumphs in Terry Huizel Memorial opener at Maquoketa
Friday night at Maquoketa Speedway saw Spencer Diercks make his debut in a Brand X Race Cars Modified during the two-day Terry Huizel Memorial.
In an impressive first outing in a new car, Diercks advanced from fourth to first in his heat, earning a spot in the feature. Starting from the third row, he outpaced seventh-starting Jeff Larson to claim his 14th win of the season, pocketing $1,250.
Saturday brought a different challenge. After losing ground in his heat, Diercks rebounded with an eighth-to-second finish in the consolation race. In the 25-lap feature, he passed 16 cars to finish sixth, capping off the weekend strong.
