Diercks strong in IMCA Mod run through Iowa
The 2026 season is officially underway for Davenport, Iowa's Spencer Diercks, and what a way to begin, recording three top-fives in four starts, two of which concluding on the podium. Diercks, wheeling in the IMCA Modified ranks, finished no worse than fourth in his four-race stretch, his top result being a runner-up performance at the nearby Davenport Speedway on Friday, April 24.
In addition, Diercks, who was a multi-time feature winner during his 2025 campaign, finished fourth at Independence Motor Speedway in Independence, Iowa, on Tuesday, April 21, and third at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway in Dubuque, Iowa, on Sunday, April 26. Diercks' only "defeat" of the week occurred at Maquoketa Speedway on Saturday, April 25; he was scored 16th.
