Pair of Top-5's at I-96 and Marshalltown
Spencer Diercks made the trip north to Michigan’s I-96 Speedway on Friday for the IMCA Fast Shafts All-Star Qualifier.
Despite it being his first start of the season at the Michigan oval, Diercks showed speed right out of the gate. He backed up a heat race win with an impressive charge from seventh to third in the feature, joining race winner Jeff Reay and runner-up Brenten Deyoung on the podium.
Returning to Iowa on Saturday, Diercks wrapped up the weekend with a solid fifth-place finish in the 20-lap feature at Maquoketa Speedway.
