Spencer Diercks tops Modified foes at Independence

Spencer Diercks made a surprise start at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday afternoon aboard his Rockstar Energy Drink No. 29 Late Model.

After taking part in time trials and his heat race, Diercks was a scratch from the 25-lap feature.

Back in action on Monday, Spencer traveled to Independence Motor Speedway (Independence, Iowa) to compete in the IMCA Modified ranks for the track's Monday Madness. With a sixth-to-fourth run in his heat race placing him on the front row for the feature, Diercks held off Joel Rust in the 25-lapper to secure his second win of the 2023 season.
