Spencer Diercks hangs onto second-place finish at Farley

After Mother Nature wiped out Friday’s opener, Spencer Diercks was one 43 Hoker Truck Series entries on hand at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) on Saturday afternoon the 44th annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic. Following the fastest lap overall in time trials, Diercks streaked to an eight-lap heat race victory. Earning the second-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Spencer slid ahead of Luke Goedert for the lead on the eighth lap and set a comfortable pace out front until he started to experience motor woes.
